There Was An Update

We did receive an update today. It informed us of the new referral of the five year old girl and the family preparing to travel Mar/Apr. The five waiting families are getting closer to going to VN but not much progress in the last two weeks due to the holiday which is not a surprise. The letter from the JCSIS, which will hopefully facilitate the signing of the bilateral agreement, has been delayed but should be ready and available to us by the end of February. They are still delivering dossiers to VN and plan to deliver 6 of them this month and will continue to do so for families that have decided to stay with program and their paperwork is nearly complete. For families who are only about half way through their paperwork, they recommend waiting for the final decision of the bilateral agreement due in March before proceeding. This information is all pretty repetitive of previous information but it is nice for the agency to keep us informed even if it is not really new information. Tet celebration will end tomorrow so hopefully things will start rolling again.
