Vietnam and Guatamala Needs Your Help

Please contact your state representatives before Friday. Ask them to send staff to the briefing to be held on Aug 1 at 10:00am at the Capital Bldg in the LBJ room. This briefing is another meeting to try to extend a temporary MOU between the US and VN. Adoptions in Guatemala will also be discussed...this program closed down months ago. Again, I admire and appreciate the relentless effort made by organizations and government departments who are still trying to keep adoptions moving for the sake of the orphans. For us, we continue on like nothing in Vietnam is going to change and will close for good on Sept 1. I follow the hopeful crusade to keep it open for the sake of my fellow Vietnam families who don't have other options to become parents. They spent everything to adopt from Vietnam and when it closes so does their opportunity to become a Mommy and a Daddy. My hearts break for them.
