Tu Du Hospital Vietnam

All children born at Tu Du Hospital are documented as abandoned regardless of circumstance of these babies becoming available for international adoption. The US cannot determine the true orphan status of these children. The US is recommending that no further referrals be made with any child from this hospital since all documentation is essentially inaccurate/false. Families with referrals from here are to expect an even longer delay in obtaining permission to bring their children home to the states. I would expect that this translates into that most of these children will be defined as NOIDS and will unfortunately remain orphans. Well not exactly, European countries are still adopting from VN so not all orphans will be doomed to a life without a family. The referrals to these European countries must just be flooding in for those families since the European countries do not have a strict system of verification like the US. I would think that VN would lean more towards the hastle free European adoption system than the US at this point. Only eleven more days until Vietnam and the US's bilateral agreement will expire. It's been circling the drain for almost a year now but this expiration will seal it for good.
